Conferma sends a request for availability to the third-party booking channels (e.g. Galileo, Sabre, Booking.com, Expedia, etc.). The response that is returned from them is interpreted, and the details are extracted (cancellation policy, total rate, taxes, check-in checkout info, etc.)
At this stage, Conferma does not calculate the total rate or VAT or tax amounts ourselves, and whatever information regarding total rate, taxes, surcharges, and per night rate breakdown is returned to us in the availability response is displayed in Hotel Booker.
In summary, if a rate includes taxes or VAT in the total rate response, we display this in the result, if it returns everything separately, we show it that way. Conferma is only able to display whatever is returned to us in the rate response from the third party.
