Scheduled Maintenance—Connectivity to PAPI.CONFERMA.COM

Conferma Pay is due to migrate PAPI.CONFERMA.COM to provide an additional layer of protection. The below outlines the changes and the adjustments required to continue using the API.

Conferma Pay partners should target DNS hostname and modify firewalls to allow connectivity to and from each datacentre. See details below. Failure to complete these changes may result in communication issues in the future.

RISK: If partners do not implement these changes?
Conferma Pay is no longer supporting direct access to the API via IP as this will now be dynamic, to continue accessing the API the FQDN of PAPI.CONFERMA.COM must be used for all connections. Although the existing IP will remain active for a period of time, support for this method will be depreciated and may result in failed communications to the API.

All partners communicating to the API: PAPI.CONFERMA.COM

When should partners implement changes?
Partners should make necessary changes to use the FQDN by APRIL 24, 2022.

What actions are required?

1. Update any Firewall rules to use the FQDN of PAPI.CONFERMA.COM and not the IP
2. Review any allow lists to ensure PAPI.CONFERMA.COM is not locked down to an IP

Will any downtime be incurred?

Conferma Pay will be migrating the DNS record on APRIL 24, 2022 at 07:00 GMT, existing connections to the platform will continue to work during the migration. Upon completion partners will see the IP will have changed when using the FQDN to a new IP address once the DNS updates at the partners' side. If the IP is used as the main connection to the API this will have no impact on the initial migration, although the existing IP will be retired at a future date.
